Recently, the Google Company has announced a new app to all Google Photos users on android called (Google Lens). Which is a virtual search Engine able to recognize what's in your photos and scan business cards, and other things included? For example: if you take a photo of a Bussiness card you will be able to save the phone number or address to a specific contact with a single tap, saving yourself all that annoying typing.

Google Lens  is getting ready to roll out all the users of Google Photos on Android .Wich was only avialable to those who had access to the latest Pixal Phones .This technology is also avialable  trought the Google Assistant for Certain phones like flagships from Samsung, Huawei, LG, Motorola, Sony, and HMD / Nokia. But it's not yet covering all Android users, which directely means you might not get the update right away .

The Google Photos will "soon" roll out all iOS users , that's what Google has  announced at Mobile World Congress last week . When that will happen exactly,Well they promise but they didn't specify when . Google Lens senior director of product Aparna Chennapragada explained to The Verge that Lens is designed to make sense of the visual world. Eventually, she hopes that Google’s visual search function could easily identify and annotate all objects, which sounds helpful but also slightly dystopian.

Here's the Offical Tweet from Google Photos Twitter Account:

Google Lens is quite useful and it works really well. For example if you are standing in front of Eiffel Tower the lens will tell you the sights of the tower, including opening hours, it's location on Google Maps ,and if you used it on Books you can get reviews and other details about it , or a Painting in a museum where you can get details about it .and that is actually something quite useful .

The ability to scan a business card is pretty useful,  unless if you’ve done away with business cards a long time ago and just use LinkedIn anyway.

Note: Currently, Google Lens can be used on languages in Roman alphabet. Some countries only support English.

For more details about how it works and how to get started with , see the link below: https://support.google.com/photos/answer/7539151?hl=en

Personaly, I think that Googls lens is great app from Google . Now many  Android users will have the chance to play with this useful visual-recognition technology, and spacialy when it will be much more easier for them to take a picture of landmark or resturant  to get more information rather than searching for them with keyword .But it hasn’t proven itself yet as an indispensable feature,So a long road ahead of it .

Google start to previews Stack Overflow answers directly in Search results

Google has started displaying previews for Stack Overflow answers directly in Search. Now it will be easier for developers and programmers to find the best answers to questions submitted to Stack Overflow. This clearly means that you can easily filter through the most popular answers to Stack Overflow submissions with having to load the page. The current layout shows the responses only partially, so you will still have to visit the website to read the full responses. Here is how the new layout looks like in comparison to the older one: The Next Web asked Stack Overflow about the feature – and while the company confirmed it has noticed the feature – it pointed The Next Web to Google for further comment. They reached out to Google for a clarification and will update this piece accordingly if they hears back.
